Evaluation procedure

Applicants to the YADIAS call will be assessed by external independent experts from both academic and non-academic sectors. Members of the IAS Scientific Council will evaluate only the oral presentations and make the final selection decision.

Interdisciplinarity is the key to this programme and evaluations will take into account the degree of interdisciplinarity of each project.

Once your project submission is complete, the subsequent steps are outlined below and defined as follows.

  1. Eligibility Check (2 weeks): Conducted by the University of Luxembourg, with a cross-check by the University of Mons (BE).

  2. Written Evaluations (8 weeks): Performed by external reviewers.

  3. Ranking: Based on written evaluations, the top 30 candidates are invited for the oral presentation.

  4. Oral Presentation: Each candidate delivers a 10-minute pitch followed by a 10-minute scientific debate in front of the IAS Scientific Council.

  5. Final Validation: Funding decisions are validated by the Rector.

  6. Communication: Final results are communicated to the candidates by the Head of IAS.
